About Us - Liberty Tradesmen

A Family Story Built with Hard Work, and Small‑Town Values

Our story really begins in the late 1980s, when Sean’s family was building their own home. All the kids pitched in, but Sean found himself drawn to the copper plumbing work. Even as a kid, he took pride in doing it right, and that same plumbing system is still in service today.

School never really clicked for Sean, so he went straight into real work. Odd jobs, helping his older brother, and picking up plumbing on the side. By the late 90s, with a young family to support, Sean’s brother Gary convinced him to join Local 32 — the Plumbing & Pipefitters Union in Seattle, WA.

Sean excelled. He moved quickly through his apprenticeship, passed his plumbing exam, and became a young journeyman trusted to run jobs big and small. Eventually, life took him to Nevada, where he worked his way up to shop foreman, estimator, and eventually general manager — until the 2007 economic collapse reshaped the entire industry.

Sean moved his family back to Washington and took a short break working in public works as an equipment operator. But the trades were in his blood, and it wasn’t long before he and his son Jaden “Jay” decided to build something of their own.

That’s when Liberty Plumbing and Heating, LLC was born.

It started as a small shop in Okanogan County, where every contractor knew each other and your reputation was everything. If you didn’t do good work, the whole county knew within a week. No Google reviews. No social media. Just honesty, craftsmanship, and accountability.

Winters were long and brutal. A family emergency and years of financial strain eventually forced a hard decision. The family could no longer afford to stay in Okanogan County. As hard as it was after building there "Forever Home" Sean and Jay packed up the business and moved to Buckeye, Arizona, determined to rebuild from scratch.

And rebuild they did.

Today, Liberty Tradesmen is still run by Sean and Jay. The same father‑and‑son team, the same small‑town values, the same commitment to doing right by every customer, every time. What started as just building a family home in the 80s has grown into a multi‑state service company built on integrity, craftsmanship, and pride.

Now, we’re expanding back into our Washington roots — hiring local plumbers and serving both Arizona and Washington with the same honesty and workmanship that shaped us from the beginning.

Two states. One family. One standard of quality. That’s Liberty Tradesmen.

Jaden's "Jay" Story

Jaden has been by Sean’s side since the very beginning, surprisingly similar to how Sean grew up helping build the family home alongside his siblings. Just like his dad, Jaden learned with his hands, his eyes, and his work ethic, not from a classroom.

From excavation to concrete, framing to finish work, and of course Plumbing, In‑Floor Heating, and HVAC, Jaden grew up mastering the trades one skill at a time. He didn’t just watch, he did the work, learned the tools, and earned every bit of his experience.

Today, Jaden is the future of Liberty Tradesmen, bringing the company into the 21st century with the modern skills, technology, and mindset the trades demand. But what truly sets him apart isn’t just his technical ability.

Jaden is an expert in:

  • Hard work

  • Determination

  • Showing up every day

  • Never quitting, no matter how tough running a business gets.

He represents the next generation of Liberty Tradesmen. The perfect blend of old‑school craftsmanship and new‑school innovation. And just like Sean, he’s committed to doing right by every customer, every time.
